In my heart of hearts I must say that I agree with what you say Fronteraman. However, if the Dawlish line were to close before an alternative line was in place then there would be no rail connection any further southwest than Exeter. I don't think that couldn't be allowed to happen. Hence I am always alert for what is being said/proposed about alternative lines. But with regard to the Dawlish ...

Have you reported this to either Dawlish Town Council or Teignbridge District Council? Don't understand what you mean by going "back to having our own Dawlish Council". We already have it, don't we?

and on a not totally unrelated matter have a read of this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/8305644/Coalition-scraps-plans-for-disposal-of-nature-reserves.html

I openly acknowlege that me and mine will welcome not having to travel all that distance, because yes, like oh so many others, we do the bulk of our shopping, once a week, from a supermarket. If ...

Thanks for that info Vanguard. Re the Amberlinecoast proposals. Whilst I agree totally that the Warren, Dawlish and Teignmouth should be marketed as one entity but with each part offering a different characteristic I am sadly aware of the parochialism, and I mean that word in both its metaphoric and literal sense, between Dawlish and Teignmouth. Although I've been here a few years now I still ...
