After the 'touch up', I think it looks tacky and very unprofessional. Blotchy square patches. Yuck.
It's AFD this coming Saturday 29th. The procession starts from the Manor at 11am, along Park Road, down Queen Street then into the Strand then up the Lawn arriving at the bandstand about 1115-1120. I shall be on the strand applauding them as they pass and hope lots of others will be there also..
There is still one missing next to Ducki Delicious though, right where you were standing to take this shot. Went past just now and they are planting the mud banks..
In the youtube link, at 1:38, it's the members of Dawlish RBL passing. I hope that they had a great time.
How long till the broken bench at the bottom of the Lawn is removed or repaired? It is an eyesore just wrapped in tape. Couldnt it have been removed straight away for repair or replacement? Obviously not, the powers that be just want to make it look unsightly. How about moving it to near the mud banks, making Dawlish even more an unsightlly joke?
@Paul From what I understand, the wooden fencing is only temporary. How long 'tempory' means, is anybodys guess. LOL.
Was that the one with the arches? I think it may have been demolished and the land built on.
I see we now have some nice new litter bins along the Strand and the Lawn along the path adjacent to the Strand.
Have found the new Carnival Website. Not much info though despite only just over 7 weeks till the start of Carnival week. Click here.
Hanging Baskets At long last, they are UP. There may be hope for the 'mud banks' now.
