Although.........the Planning Inspector does make mention of the Barton Hill car park site as a possible place for a supermarket to be sited. He points out that the slope of the site would lend itself to a 2/3 storey development with car-parking either underneath or on the roof top.
Just had the offical decision sent to me from the Planning Inspectorate - Tesco's Appeal has been dismissed.
Exeter College have got a bursary fund which might be of help for those on low incomes with teenagers studying at the college. I am sure other 16-18 year old education providers (eg Bicton College and VIth form colleges?) may have similar schemes so worth contacting them for info. For Exeter College contact: Jill Clark, Student Welfare Administrator, Exeter College. Tel 01392 205526 email ...
Anyone else spotted the methodological flaws in this survey........like (and as with the Dawlish by-election polling card issue that I've highlighted on a separate thread) unless: 1. You have a computer ( and go on Dawlish.com - and let's face it not that many do) 2. You buy the Dawlish Gazette (not all do) 3. You read the freebie Dawlish Post (and not all do that either) You are not that ...
Due to a councillor resigning within weeks of being elected (see previous thread "One Less Tory") those of us who live in Central Ward, Dawlish will have the opportunity to go to the polls again on Thursday 11th August 2011. Haven't used that P.O for ages (usually use the Exeter Road one) but did so last year when renewing a passport and the people behind the counter were so helpful and friendly. Such a shame that good staff are treated so badly. Anyone got One Stop's contact details? Put some pressure on. Contact the ...
And another plus for the town - I noticed today that Bow Windows has had a wash and brush up. Some really classy tables and chairs (well I think so anyway and certainly compared to the plastic that used to be found there) on the terrace outside. Took a quick look inside and that made a good impression 'n all. Whahay! Cafe culture comes to Dawlish?
Went into the town today. It was very busy (something just must, must, must be done about widening The Strand pavement. This morning's maneuvreings having involved encounters with mobility scooters being used by one age group, buggies by another and assorted dogs tied up outside various shops has only served to make me even more convinced that widening is desperately needed). But I digress. I ...
Haven't been into town since it's re-opened so can't say at the mo. The reason I've responded though is to ask a question which is- is what I've heard correct that it is now operating a home delivery service? If so, does anyone have any details?
