Although.........the Planning Inspector does make mention of the Barton Hill car park site as a possible place for a supermarket to be sited. He points out that the slope of the site would lend itself to a 2/3 storey development with car-parking either underneath or on the roof top.
Just had the offical decision sent to me from the Planning Inspectorate - Tesco's Appeal has been dismissed.
Exeter College have got a bursary fund which might be of help for those on low incomes with teenagers studying at the college. I am sure other 16-18 year old education providers (eg Bicton College and VIth form colleges?) may have similar schemes so worth contacting them for info. When this obviously harassed and stressed out member of staff goes off on sick-leave, what then? And another plus for the town - I noticed today that Bow Windows has had a wash and brush up. Some really classy tables and chairs (well I think so anyway and certainly compared to the plastic that used to be found there) on the terrace outside. Took a quick look inside and that made a good impression 'n all. Whahay! Cafe culture comes to Dawlish?
