Exeter College have got a bursary fund which might be of help for those on low incomes with teenagers studying at the college. I am sure other 16-18 year old education providers (eg Bicton College and VIth form colleges?) may have similar schemes so worth contacting them for info.

For Exeter College contact: Jill Clark, Student Welfare Administrator, Exeter College. Tel 01392 205526 email jillclark@exe-coll.ac.uk

Some info on the Exeter College fund.

The student must be enrolled on a further education course at Exeter College and be aged 16-18.

The student or the the student's family are receiving one of the following: Working Tax Credit, Income Support, Income Based Job Seekers' Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, New Deal for Lone Parents and is on a low enough income to qualify. This is presently £21,000.
