I was told they were adding stations to the line, Exminster being a new one.
Whenever I go past Jack Sprats, it looks busy. I hope it's working out. A few more ambitious shops and maybe Dawlish could be a bit more upmarket at some time in the future.
So over £1 million on materials. But damn fine paving slabs they are too, all grey and smooth and characterless. Could have put a row of terraced houses on there instead.
A coach park on the seafront where you suggest would be an eyesore. What about the railway car park, it seems to stretch quite a way back and doesn't impede any views. Might be a bit tricky for a coach to manoeuvre up there tho.
Sunday afternoon with hardly anyone parked in Dawlish, I spotted a traffic warden slapping a ticket on a parked car. As she did it she dropped a piece of paper on the floor. Did she pick it up? Bit late posting on this but I moved to Dawlish earlier in the year. Before Christmas I went out with the intention of buying as much as I could locally. It turned out I couldn't even buy a decent pack of Christmas cards, not even from the charity shops promoting their own charities (so naff). I don't know how the so-called gift shops manage to stay in business, it was all tat.. Bought a couple ...
Thanks, I've done the survey
