Was the mum a single parent by any chance? And did she get herself pregnant? (like, as in, no-one else was involved). (By the way Don you're more grown up than me as I'm four years younger than you! Do we grow up when we reach state retirement age do you think? Hope not.)
Isn't Totnes twinned with Narnia?
Anyone else see that lovely crescent moon in the western sky this evening with the two bright stars shining close by it? Actually I don't think they are stars I think they are the planets Venus and Jupiter, with Venus being the brighter of the two. Beautiful.
Plus of course paying people to do work then gives them money to spend (and yes I know that's stating the blinding obvious but I thought it needed saying) and if they have money to spend then they create demand and if they create demand then that demand must be met by supply and that supply is provided by others who in turn are being paid to work and who therefore have money to spend which in ...
If you look at that Daily Mail link I gave you'll see that it was proposed that whether or not someone would be able to qualify for a state pension would be determined not by the number of years that NI is either actually paid or credited as being paid but rather in terms of length of time the person has lived in this country. I honestly know no more than is in that article. Suggest if anyone ...

LOVE IT! PS. What's this I hear about an organisation called the Bullingdon Club? Something about rowdy young people drinking far too much alcohol and then indulging in a spot of the old vandalism, like breaking glasses and the odd spot of furniture and things. Tut! Tut! Tut! Makes one wonder what some of them end up doing with their lives.........
But who would define what was and what was not something political? The Webmaster? Fine. But that definition had better be clear wouldn't want any of us to be running foul of the rules of engagement...... Would Roberta's thread concerning the new proposals for pricing alcohol be considered political for example, or the thread concerning the price of petrol?
