Yes, whatever the background (and I'd like still like to know!) it's very poorly written and an inappropriate way to air grievances.. That said, I've been down to the Lawn and it's lively so here's hoping Carnival week is a success.
Here it is. These are not my grammatical mistakes or typos, it's how it's printed. Well here we are come rain or shine, love us or hate us 12 months on Dawlish Carnival is back for another eight days of Family Fun, locals and visitors to our town coming together making new friends as they join in the fun having a jolly old time. A big heart felt thank you go's out to my ...
Can someone give me a potted history (in their opinion!) around the politics of the Carnival? Only moved here in the past year and am intrigued by the Chairwoman's Address in the programme. How did the five people on the carnival committee get there? Has there been a coup?! I see on Eyes of Dawlish that the Brunswick is omitted from the carnival and pram race route and are offering a free ...
@ZIGGY That's great, thanks. Be good if someone put it on the Dawlishwarren.info site too.
No doubt the brochure revenue supports the running costs, but my point was that promoting the events online would reach a wider audience than the locals who buy the programme, encourage more participation thereby increasing overall revenue. Sprat to catch the mackerel... Make it a worthwhile brochure (a free fair ride is good for the kids) and people will still buy it.

Had I known the details about the raft race and pram race in advance, I'd have forked out £20 to take part instead of the £2 I've just spent on the programme. Too late now, our plans are made. There seems to be an assumption that everyone is somehow in the know about Carnival Week when in fact there is an ...
What's wrong with Morris and McGinn? I find them helpful and prices aren't bad either. I'd rather buy from them than from sheds like B&Q when I can. I'd like to see a few decent restaurants, over and above the egg, chips and beans establishments. Shame Ten Green Bottles didn't last long as a restaurant, it was heading in the right direction.

Thanks, I stayed at the Blenheim years ago and liked it. Always thought that Oceans looked a bit off putting, particularly as it's right on the front, but have never had the nerve to go in and enquire!
Anyone know anything about this place. as it never looks like it's open. There are a couple of bad reviews on TripAdvisor from 2012 so I suppose it must be but I wondered how a big place like that on the front seems so quiet.
