Wide Load
18 Mar 2015

Perhaps it wasn't too long, but once you get to Sanville Way it's crawling pace, so these wide load lorries just make it worse for everyone. as @roberta says travelling overnight would be a much better idea. Or build these caravans/chalets on site, which would provide some much needed local jobs.

Why do these wide load lorries have to keep travelling the narrow roads between Exeter and Dawlish during the morning rush hour? I realise they are working, but why can't they just wait until after 9am when the roads won't be so busy. Surely that would be better for them and certainly better for everyone else.

I was emailed the image. Not sure where it originated from. Thanks for your posts, I've booked April 23rd off (and the day after). I shall wear my t-shirt with a red cross on it and go have a few beers around town. Cheers!

Is this really how people think? Surely not. Why not make it a bank holiday and celebrate the day?

@leatash , perhaps that's the plan. no one will want to work for that, so they'll have to get a real work. @roberta , why would anyone have to be laid off?

Read the article and some comments. Can't see how anyone thinks this is a bad idea.

Fridge: Yep that is awful. People with money making more money from people without money. Needs to be stopped now. Stand up: That seems a little hard to believe, perhaps there are a few cases of bad behaviour but on the whole MPs are hard working. I do think there is way too many of them though. Universal credit: I don't know much about it, but on the face of it, it seems like a good ...

http://news.sky.com/story/1428774/pm-young-unemployed-will-work-for-benefits Another good idea, only makes me wonder why it wasn't done years ago. Surely we all think this one is a great move?

There was no need to say it. The original post was about those choosing to be lazy. Nothing about taking benefits away from those in genuine need. At the end of the day, all I said was, it is good that the Government is trying to stop people abusing the system. If you don't agree then that's obviously up to you. However most will think you're just being silly. :)

All I'm saying, it is great that the Government is trying to stop people receiving benefits when they are not entitled. I never mentioned anything about stopping people receiving help when they genuinely need it. Tomorrow I could be hit by a bus and need help from society for the rest of my life. The rich that have not paid their fair share of tax are just as bad. They have everything ...
