Well, I don't know about Plymouth 'cheerfully' closing its airport. I imagine the community there would love to have it back and up and running. Guess it wasn't making enough profit for the owners/plane services for it to be a viable proposition and I have read somewhere recently that the owners have said that they don't see a future for it re-opening as an airport. ...
With the announcement that wef end of October this year Flybe will be providing a 3x daily service Exeter Airport/London City Airport I wondered how much this might impact on the travelling time (compared to taking the train) and cost (compared to taking the train) for those wishing to travel to/from around here to/from London? Love the idea of two long necked swans holding mangled rails in their beaks. Agree that whatever it is that gets done needs to be innovative and specific to Dawlish. Hence the swans and mangled rail idea I think is great. I don't think a run of the mill statue of Brunel would be Dawlish specific and innovative. My great niece (aged 2.5 years) paid me a visit yesterday. I'm thinking of hiring her to show me how to use smartphones etc. Her ability to find Peppa Pig and similar stories and games suitable for a child of her age on her parents' phones had to be seen to be believed.

So.....bins get put out at night (they do in my road). What's to stop someone putting their green waste in someone else's bin? A bit far fetched perhaps but my point is that although the green waste may be found in someone's landfill bin how can the enforcement officer prove that the owner of the bin put the green waste in that bin?
