Shame it was a bit chilly!
I went through both the town and the Warren about mid-day today. Biz - zee!
It's been open for a fortnight! Great to see so many happy people (locals and visitors) around the town today, enjoying the April sunshine. Local businesses will have done well these last two weeks I'd wager.
We ventured along part of the wall on Sunday during a break in the rain, the tide was in so no walking on the beach this weekend for us.
When I walked along I noticed the unbelievably shabby job that's been done to the station platform that's visible from the beach. The wood has been treated/stained on the platform side (for Dave's benefit?) but from beach side it's clearly messy and unfinished. Will it be completed professionally or is that it?
Worth pursing while there are still quite a significant amount amount of wall repairs in progress right along to Teignmouth.
Anyone know what the final visual plan is for the wall in its totality of length. It is now, by force of necessity, a patchwork of concrete and the original stone?
