If any dog owners who may read this hear from others about a black and white greyhound (think Friesian cow colouring) who broke her leg whilst running full tilt up on Sandy Lane playing fields on Sunday that was my dog - Molly (moo cow dog).
I wasn't there at the time - my partner was walking her. But he says that many other dog walkers stopped to see if they could help and give him moral support etc. Thanks to you all for that.
Thankfully she is still with us (as in alive) and we will be collecting her from the vets later today. So, should you see a black and white greyhound on crutches..........
PS - And if any of you dog owners don't have doggy insurance - Get some now!
As far as pet insurance is concerned I would recommend Animal Friends just recently voted the best insurance company in the Uk, hope your dog recovers well all the best
We saw a greyhound last weekend and it was adorable, so best wishes for her recovery. Just wondered if anyone knows whether greyhounds are susceptible to this type of injury given their combination of tremendous speed and slender proportions?
We have a border collie and we always have at least one spare bullet, just in case he ends up in a mess.
He's a farm dog and a pet but they even shoot horses if they break a leg
Each to their own but for me no vets
