I heard that Tesco's had bought some land between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
It's a bit like the local paper, people moan about it but still buy it!!
What a beautiful day, can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. Went for my usual walk and spent the afternoon in my garden, (working , well that's my storey!) Chatted to my neighbour and made some tea. It's amazing what a sunny day can do.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have before now gone to a Restaurant and had a perfect meal and recommended it to other people and they have been disappointed. I do think it's a bit unfair to try and put the blame of Dawlish's decline on this website as it does give out a lot of useful information. Maybe take off your rose coloured glasses and see for yourself!!!!

When the Grand ceased being a Hotel it was taken over by the Richmond.
The hotel along the Exeter Road near Lanherne was the Charlton House Hotel owned by Mr&Mrs Mould. The Grand Hotel used to be by the station and is now flats. The Royal Hotel used to be where Stewarts is now situated.
