It is an interesting phenomenon that this website has got livelier since 'Mrs/Mr C has started posting again! But, it is also noteworthy that the nastiness has crept in again!
I would live to know who Morty Vicker is as they are so detached from the reality of this country it beggars belief!

Walked past the happy hut at 4.30 this afternoon and counted 14 people all doing what they do at the happy hut! 15 minutes later there were three policmen, not at the happy hut but down at the seafront, looking at what appeared to be a piece of vertical pipe sticking out of the sand and pebbles. @Brooklyn Bridge , the lawn area, where the 'happy hut' is situated, is owned and controlled by teignbridge district council so either contact the district councillors, prowse, price, clemens and mayne or contact tdc directly............but don't hold your breath in anticipation of any action this century! failing that, we could all band together and have a 'sit-in' at the happy hut for a few ...

You are absolutely right Lynne. Even in the seventies couples could get a mortgage on 2.5 x the main salary and 1x the second salary. And those that could not afford a mortgage could expect a council house within a few years, not decades, as is the case now!! Where did it all go wrong?

It is a sad fact these days, in this country, that unless there are while lines and arrows painted on the road telling motorists what to do then too many do not know what to do or which lane to use!
