this is what is wrong with todays world, is it necessary to open all hours, if you work in retail you have no xmas break, if shops are open people will shop. years ago xmas was a 3day break and you were lucky if you had a fridge let alone a freezer HOW DID WE MANAGE restore the old values and lets all have a xmas break. By the way they will all be open tomorrow HAPPY NEW YEAR
LOL,LOL,LOL,from somebody who actually shops locally co-op stokes, lloyd maunder, ryders, costcutters, boots, lloyds, and for special occasions emotions or present time, washing machine from sampsons, cat food and garden requirements pet shop park rd also grahams and my family use the tackle shop, how much local can one get
but people drive out of dwlish now and never go down the town, ask around, stand outside asda or tescos and see how many people there are from dawlish. i shop 99% of the time in dawlish and see the same people all with families grown up mainly, the rest jump in their cars or catch the free bus, others catch the train or bus to teignmouth.
we all have our opinions but we do need a large spermarket to STOP people going out of town and maybe bring others into town, we have to progress and i am not young nor an old fuddy duddy, but it will happen
any new shops surely must be welcome to revitalize what is fast becoming a ghost town
all the utilities are doing necessary works old pipes and sewers being replaced
i will echo that and hope Dawlish has a better 2010
i dont want to go out of dawlish shopping, so the quicker it happens the better.youwill not prevent the monopolies these companies have and the ladys mile site is within the guidelines that were set, being closer to the town.
tdc have to hear both applications again !!!! according to the herald, the store may get built in what shall i say 2012!!!!!
