Perhaps one of the posters who hold strong views should offer themselves as a benevolent dictator. So, summarizing Roy/PJD, Labour have misruled 1997 to present. Tories misruled 1979 to 1997. Prior to that were the glorious (Crisis, what crisis?) years of Labour from 1975 following on from three day week Tories from 1970. Further back, we had Labour from 1964 with devaluation, elected after 13 years of Tory misrule.
