Dawlish needs you
16 Dec 2009

Well "Mexico", what an inspiring couple of posts you;ve left on your first visit to the dawlish.com forums. Can we not have a section on here for the whiners, and leave those of us who care about our town to discuss Dawlish in a constructive manner?

Or a Sainsburys??? I believe that the "Supermarket Wars" moves on to the High Court today to decide which of the big two supermarkets opens in (or just outside) Dawlish. Don't know if a decision will be made today, but the proceedings certainly start today.

That's a great result for them.

As you well know and are no doubt well pleased about, the Seasiders narrowly lost 1-0 at home to a very good Bishop Sutton side. How did Dawlish United do against Seaton Town - I genuinely don't know.

Well said Robotman. I love Dawlish. It's not perfect but nowhere is - however I wish the moaning minnies on here (granted that they're vocal but very tiny minority) would appreciate what they have and offer constructive advice to improve upon it, rather than being armchair/keyboard warriors. At the level that Town play, it's simply impossible to compete with a side wholly made up of town-based players - particularly a town the size of Dawlish. LOL, if Manchester United fans felt the same as you, then Unibond League ...

LOL. I prefer to stand and watch. Real football for real people.

Who owns Manchester United? Who owns Liverpool? Who owns Chelsea? I'm sad to say that it's your kind of insular attitude that holds Dawlish back. Thankfully you are in the minority, and I can guarantee that our town will continue to get better. Dawlish Town FC represents our lovely town. We should be proud that it is putting Dawlish on the national football map. OUR TOWN. OUR TEAM.

Yes it is. Dawlish Town FC is representing our town on the national stage - and doing a very good job of it too. Think about it, Gresley will bring a fair number of supporters into our town for the day (and some will no doubt stay overnight), all of them spending money in local establishments. Some might like our lovely town so much that they decide to come back again in the summer. I hope that ...
