No it's not a rumour.  See copy of David's Facebook message - David Force Rest assured there are moves afoot to reinvent the Carnival, but keeping the main events that really bring in the crowds. From Dawlish Museum: The first of the seven eggs has hatched and apologies for the shaky camerawork but we thought you'd like to see the first appearance of the new arrival. It is hoped they will all be out by the morning ( Friday 11th March) I can only see the video on Facebook I'm afraid, not sure if there's a version on YouTube ...

I knew this would happen cyclist -v- motorist.  Shame as there's a really important point with the uselessness of the currently proposed cycle path, irrespective of whether it's used.

Are they historic?  The museum might be interested?
