I heard that David Force is going to put on the carnival this year, is it just a rumour? What was the truth with Farley.
Thanks
I hope so but I can only see it as a rumour. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
As for the Mafia Farley's, will we ever know the truth.
All I know is that Ms Farley still needs to apologise for her 'Outsiders' rant.
No it's not a rumour. See copy of David's Facebook message -
David Force Rest assured there are moves afoot to reinvent the Carnival, but keeping the main events that really bring in the crowds. I can't say more at the moment, but there will be a meeting for potential volunteers and event organisers soon after Easter. Much is already in place. These are exciting times for Dawlish. There are already some high profile events organised for the summer on the Lawn, and others in the planning process. Carnival is going to be brilliant. And for those who say Dawlish is going down the pan, there are NO empty shops in Dawlish. You look at other towns in the area, and let me know if you can find another one with 100% occupancy! Dawlish isn't what it was, but nowhere is, the supermarkets have seen to that, but we are doing our best to make it as good as we can. If you care passionately about the town and about Carnival, please contact me and tell me how you can help out. Dawlish is going to have to pull together to make our Carnival great again. If the Community pulls together, we can make this a year to remember.
There is a email in circulation asking for volunteers from David Force it's probably all down to who will step forward as is always the case everybody wants the Carnival but nobody wants to put in the work.

As you will already be aware Dawlish Town Council through its events committee are supporting the development of a week of fun events to take place in Dawlish from the 13th -20th August.. We are looking for support from the local community to come along, share their ideas and be involved.
