ffs, close all the shops and turn it into one long pavement cafe then thats what yo all seem to want, because pedestrianisation will cause that. I will then have to shop in Teignmouth !!!!!!!!!!!!
No way, i can see problems with the disabled who cannot walk far, no back entrances for shops deliverys, building out over the wasted lawn area for horizontal parking and then make the pavement on the shop side wider with deliverys restricted to deliverys before 9am would be better
do agree wondering, need a rethink for next year to change things, we did used to have a full week of variety, but those people that organised then got older. its hard to get people to volunteer. i helped several years ago when children were smaller but you need to be able toget time off workand in august thats hard as i said i think the airshow has put carnival week in 2nd place
@ dm you really do not want to get invoved with him, avoid him like the plague
past history over last 7years and his name is F.....
that enclosure is their property anyway, and from a safety angle has to be good, stop young children in danger of being run over when parents fail in their duty to watch said siblings.
i have nothing against visitors coming to the town as a resident its what keeps us going in winter. Carnival week was always busy before the airshow whats so different now, in fact carnival week was better beore the airshow, it was good at the beginning then it took over and the carnival was swallowed upthis is not just my opinion in fact several people that ive spoken to have said the same. tell ...
CARNIVAL BIG YES, Airshow has had its day, not for the locals only for business premises and visitors, sorry to upset you but im not a tool merely voicing an opinion as a devon and dawlish resident
John Donague has wrote a letter in the Gazette, well worth a read
I see the airshow has been saved!!!!! pity
