We have just bought a house in Starcross will be moving in in a couple of weeks. Our daughter is 14 doing well at school. We have been to look round both Dawlish and Teignmouth Community Colleges and are still undecided. Can anyone advise

I wasn't saying I didn't want expansion. I wasn't saying that I didn't want new houses built. I was saying that I thought it stupid to the point of dangerous to have the main throughfare in and out of this new development going past two schools.

Just thought I'd point out that I believe the main vehicular throughfare for this new residential area is to be along Elm Grove Road. Brilliant! (NOT!). That will mean more cars gong past two schools (Dawlish Community College and Gatehouse Primary). And what clever Dick thought that up?

from a parent of a dawlish united player, thanks go out to both teams playing today in terrible conditions.I hope this doesn't appear to be one sided, but dawlish united always looked in full control {even though they went 1 nil down} they wanted to win for there town and club. Both are football teams after all? Why should some teams ...

Like others Anon I moved to Dawlish because I like it. I also like the school. Small and friendly. You say you are looking to move out. Best wishes. How long ago was your daughter at the college? What did you do about nothing being done about the bullying? If you weren't happy with the school did you not see if she could go elsewhere - Teignmouth perhaps. As ever Anon - you are negative, ...

Along with other parents I know who have moved to Dawlish, one of the deciding factors was that we wished our children to attend DCC. I wish to make this point as it seems that the "let's knock Dawlish at every opportunity brigade" now includes the local newspaper. Some of you may have noticed in last week's Gazette and Post a not very complimentary screaming headline concerning DCC's ranking in ...

Hi Ziggy, did you also notice how many of the older generation were watching over your shoulder, trying to see what way people were voting, as we did when we were filling in our forms, i was quite expecting a lynch mob waiting for us outside!!
