Boring!!!!!!

I think the wotsit might hit the wotsit again the minute Tesco go public on their next crazed idea for Dawlish. (Ooops! Sorry!.That's supermarkets again isn't it)

Understand this will come before TDC Development Control Committee on Monday 23rd June.

You might well be right there Ziggy and what a delight Dawlish would then be - not.

That is a HUGE site. Far too big for the size of supermarket that Dawlish (apparently) needs. Even if you were to include a car park and, say, a petrol station there would still be a lot of land left over. What could that be used for? A retail park? And/or perhaps Tesco would want it to expand their store sometime in the future.

No, I suppose not. It just struck me that you made the posting for some reason other than just to ask the question. So to answer it. Yes people did know (there was a piece in the local paper and from that and other sources e-mails started to fly around). I guess about 50 people in the public gallery.

For example, on the Carnival thread there are postings under that name but they were not made by me. I know we don't have ...

How can those green pastures at Sandy Lane not be affected if a supermarket gets built there?! I think you'll find that FOE (Friends of the Earth) have been doing petition in town against supermarket being built at Sandy Lane - people have been falling over themselves to sign it. Repeat - Teignbridge District Council, who are the landowners, have no intention of that land being used for anything ...
