General Discussion

I picked mine up in the Tourist Information Centre (it's not just for tourists lol), though I'd be surprised if it's not also available on-line on the excellent TDC website.

Has anyone else completed this survey and sent it off to TDC? I'd be interested to read what suggestions others on here have made to improve our town. This is possibly a one in a lifetime opportunity and I really hope that loads of other people have been putting forward constructive ideas.

Sorry Carer, I obviously misinterpreted what you meant, so I unreservedly apologise. I guess my brain has been tuned into thinking that everyone on here is filled with negativity and that you were putting people off with your innocent comment. As Cilla says, I may come across as being smug on here, but in the real world I'm not - well at least I hope not lol! I merely get riled at those that talk ...

Great news Willo!! I know that when we popped in to wish you luck on Saturday, you weren't too optimistic, so you must be buzzing with the news! Well done Willo and well done to the people of Dawlish and farther afield ;-) who rallied to the cause - power to the people! Is there anywhere we can see who voted for and against?

Nice little earner

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Just a general question really. In these austere times, I'm sure you'll agree that it's important that money isn't wasted and that value for money is achieved in all areas of society. Not that I'm one to labour a point, but do you know how much FOI requests costs us taxpayers? If not, fair does.

I saw that article in the week too. Whilst its absolutely disgraceful that Clatworthy is allowed to claim such a high allowance, I personally have no beef with anyone who is reimbursed legitimate expenses. I wonder though how his allowance compares with the cost to taxpayers of FOI requests? Anyone know?

Thanks for the info. I'll be there with Mrs Mac. :-). The weather is so changeable that I wouldn't put people off by posting such negative comments. Good luck to the hard working guys and girls at Duck Aller Farm - hopefully their day will be a success. Having helped organise such events in the past, I know the effort and stress involved - so it's disappointing to read someone on here ...

.

It was good to see the latest two cygnets being cared for in the bird pen today. That's four this year that should grow to adulthood and grace our town for years to come.
