Planning appeals are heard by the planning inspectorate. It is someone with an in depth knowledge of planning policies that decides whether an Appeal is upheld or not. I agree that the town council's planning committee has no powers to grant planning permission (they can only make recommendations). So..... if you don't cast a vote you have no right to moan if you do cast a vote but are on the losing side you have no right to moan (mustn't be a bad loser old chap, not cricket, what ho) if you cast a vote and are on the winning side you should have no need to moan Is that what is being suggested?

Have just checked out the town council website and guess what? One of our councillors is 'missing'. There should be 6 in central ward. http://www.dawlish.gov.uk/members.php Why is Graham Price not on the town council website when he is shown as being a councillor in the, presently being delivered, Town Crier?
