No doubt as part of the 'gentleman's agreement'.
I don't think there would be so much of a problem if one of the original conditions of development had been the provision of a new road into the estate, possibly from the Exeter Road side.
Thank you Gary, that has made the position clearer.
We get enough road rage anyway - ever seen anyone going down Badlake while someone else is coming up? I once got told to get off my own f*****g drive so that someone could pull on to it to get past. (It was a taxi). One woman wouldn't reverse back up the hill because 'she didn't know how to'. A copper would have a field day, if there was ever one around. And Mr. Stone wants to add to the traffic ...
@ Elvis Any name? He could be reported according to the law.
@Lynne In that case we'll have to give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Thanks for the e-mail addresses & info anyway. (anyone else having problems inputting -I type @ 60 wpm but on here it's more like .06 wpm)!
@Lynne If I'm reading this right (and it's a very scrappy note) it appears that he's recommending acceptance on the grounds it's outside the town on a piece of 'undeveloped coast' - no mention of the access problems which plague this area.
It's not too late to put a comment on the website.
The Highways issues are the same for Weech Road as they are for Badlake Hill - access is just not good enough at the turning by the Swan pub. Have lost track of the number of near misses I've seen plus pedestrians being scraped by wing mirrors, etc. It's difficult to know how this could be resolved.
@Lynne I suggest you refer to the glossy leaflet that was pushed through my door today. I presume it will be delivered to all households, not just mine.
