Power Cut!
4 Apr 2010

Happy Easter! Every year the power goes... Grrr.

You have to agree though that it is a bit smelly down Old Town Street.

Seconded - who are you referring to?

There was a rumour about the Co-Operative extending into it. I was in Moose yesterday and a potential customer came in asking if they sold trousers. The answer was "No, and nowhere in Dawlish does". Surely there's the demand for a half-decent clothing store in town, notwithstanding the fact that Sainsbury has it's own clothing lines.

Er, we know - as per the other thread!

Blimey O'Reilly! That IS excellent news. If there has to be a supermarket, then I'd rather it be Sainsburys. I wonder what on earth persuaded our councillors to make this momentous decision? Well done them - and shame on those who voted against. And as for the idiot who abstained, what's the point in them being a councillors if they're going to sit on the fence?

Dawlish is certainly in the news today! This article on the BBC website clearly shows once again just what a great contribution that CCTV has made to the crime-fighting and crime-prevention efforts of the local constabulary: Nearly 600 arrests have been made in part of south Devon in the past year as a result of a local CCTV system, its operators say. There are 48 cameras in the Teignbridge ...

How did the family acquire it? Sounds intriguing.
