Just heard Dawlish Skip Hire has closed down.
The meeting was postponed because too many people turned up!! The next meeting is to take place on Thursday 28th January 7.30pm at St. Gregory's Church. Please tell as many people as you can as there seems to be quite a bit of confusion over the venue and date.

Couldn't agree more, the problem being health and safety!! Before health and safety went way over the top rubbish carts had some sort of chains on their wheels, postmen had special rubber attachments to connect to their shoes, milkmen always seemed to get your milk on your doorstep, you could lie in bed and see orange lights and hear the gritter lorry scattering grit on the roads,the schools never ...
If you have an elderly neighbour or someone who cannot venture out in the present weather conditions please call on them and make sure they have everything they need. Or maybe locate necessary help.
This forum shows the town to be what it is, very dull with a few shops struggling to survive so much so that they have to charge more than neighbouring towns, even Stokes put 10p a pound on their sprouts Christmas Eve and took it off their first day open after Christmas. Investigator i think you misunderstood, the shops that were closed were normally trading, that's why i was surprised they were closed as i thought they were struggling to survive!!
Just come back from a walk around the town and to pick up a few things. The town its self was very busy but a lot of the shops were closed which surprised me.
