Didn't the negotiations for the free trade deal between the EU and Japan start off in 2012? And how long did the Canada/EU free trade deal take before being agreed? 7 years or so. A visa to enter the USA for a British passport holder presently costs 14 USD (that presently converts to just over £11.00) per person and lasts for two years (or less than that if the passport runs out before the two year period is reached).
