Referendum. 1515 YES 96 NO
It was absolute chaos at 3.45pm, no one directing voters as to where the voting was taking place. Most people were trying the main door, eventually someone came and placed a sign directing voters around the back. The traffic in and out of the Manor was horrendous blocking both entrance and exit. Why didn't someone think about organizing the entry and exit of the traffic, maybe they did later in ...
A ban on alcohol in a public place has not been enforced in Dawlish. In August 2008 I was informed the subject had come up at three council meetings but the council had turned down a request of a ban. One reason given was quote "The carnival didn't want it" My answer was Teignmouth have a ban on alcohol and still have a carnival. I wonder if the subject has been brought up at any council meetings ...
Welcome to Dawlish. Just don't venture to the top end of the lawn unless you want to join the group of undesirables that seem to have taken over the shelters. The stench of vomit and urine is horrendous. I have just walked through the lawn and witnessed one male drinking from a large cider bottle and one female vomiting. I think we have enough empty houses in Dawlish.Treston House was demolished to make room for a housing estate which came to a standstill. I think the building company went bust.
The council have bought 34, Park Road,(the old Salvation Army) at a price said to be £165,000 and submitted plans to demolish existing building and erect 6 flats. I understood the council wanted to sell the Manor House because there wasn't enough money for repairs and move their offices to the building at 34 Park Road,so why the decision the build flats and where would their offices be? £30,000 ...
Why was the fence erected in the first place, did someone think it a good idea? If the panels were only sold by standard lengths as suggested by J. Warrener why weren't they measured and cut to the size required to prevent over ordering. What happened to the lengths that were cut? maybe they were sold to help pay for the over budget that has already gone over the price originally quoted!!!!
Unfortunately a lot of them are parents already. What chance have those poor kids got!
Good to see Dawlish Skip Hire back in business. Have they been taken over by someone else?
