CAR BOOT SALES
20 May 2008

I once perused the car boot sale in the warren and found an absolute gem amongst all the clutter. I sold it myself to an antique dealer for a very nice sum of money and have invested the proceeds along with a bit more in a penny share mining company called Angus and Ross which I hope will make me an even bigger fortune. I have always found the saying oak trees from acorns has served me well.

I just hope we don't get a bout of woodworm then Viaduct. Could decimate the walking stick population!

Wondering, whereabouts is your property that is up for sale and who is it up with? I am always on the lookout to increase my portfolio with quality. Some real bargains will soon be available with the impending recession so I shouldn't hang around.

Goodness me, a bit of sunshine and the buffoons are turning out in force. If only I could turn Dawlish into a cul-de-sac! Mind you, that would mean we would be stuck forever with some of the inborn buffoons we seem to have.

First of all tourist, remember i before e except after c. Secondly you sound like just the sort of buffoon we can well do without. It is a buffoon of the highest order who could put up any kind of defence of the behaviour I encountered. I did state that it is not all young people who behave in this manner. So may I refer you to an earlier poem of mine with the line: depart to torquay and be a ...

You learn something everyday viaduct! That's a very interesting point you have raised. I assume this is a ruling going back many years when spare land was plentiful? I seem to remember many years ago there being allotments on the bit of ground that now houses the new holiday homes underneath the mount pleasant. I have a picture somewhere. I know that in many parts of the country there are now ...

I am coming to the conclusion that Olive is either one of the young delinquents I refer to, or else she is one of the "drop em for a packet of crisps and a swig of cripple cock nancies" that are responsible for bringing these waste of space charlies into this world. How anyone could possibly condone this antisocial behaviour is beyond me. Maybe the cripple cock has finally taken its toll. A tragic ...

i have been quite vocal on the subject of youths on this forum in the past, and rightly so in some cases. but may i just tell of an experience i had yesterday. i have friends that reside in southsea, and yesterday made the long voyage east to visit them for the day. we had a long walk along the coastline there, and i have to say that i was absolutely appauled. it is no exageration to say that a ...

you would have to expect cracks in newish plaster anyway. but i have to say that this little development has done absolutely nothing to enhance the area at all. the warren should be a little gem when you look at what any developers are able to work with. ie a beautiful coastline with sand (when exmouth haven't borrowed it), a beautiful nature reserve, unique golf course, coastline railway. I ...
