Foden has been 'campaigning' on this issue for years. Nothing improves. The Lib Dems just roll this same issue out whenever they want some coverage or there's the possibility of an election. She is Wrigley's woman, she'll do as he says. Stagecoach aren't listening to her and her squeaky voice.

Dawson pockets around £35K per annum as a County Cllr and then severl thousand more as District Cllr. Can she fulfill x3 Cllr roles on Town, District and County level, given the average (according to the Local Government Association) is 20 hour per week per role? That'd be 60 hours per week. People are unlikely to vote for the Greens in great numbers in this by-election because of how Polanski is perceived and the 'looney' notion put out there by the tabloid press, etc.  Like I wrote elsewhere Dawlish has never voted Green, maybe things could change, the Town has never voted Reform either yet. Not that it is ever publicized but two Liberal Democrat Councillors on Dawlish Town Council have recently left the party to join the Green Party. Cllr Rachel Hardy (Dawlish SW) and Cllr Anthony James (Dawlish NE), the former Mayor have both switched parties recently. In addition to the Dawlish SW by-election for the Town Council, there is also a District Council by-election for the same ward.

I know some existing and prospective Councillors really do give a damn about the town. Since the Town Council elections in May 2023, 5 out of 16 Councillors have left their roles. No by-elections were held for the previous 4 vacancies,  most likely because the vacancies were not well publicized and the necessary 10 electors did not write to the Council to call for an election during the 14 day notice period.
