Ahem! It seems to me that this thread just like ever so, ever so, many others has been hijacked by the "are the councillors corrupt/freedom of speech debate". Extremely worthy as these debates are, can I request that you start a thread of your own and debate the pros and cons there. Cheers Isambard K

I'm not surprised there were limited numbers using the bus Dawlish/Teignmouth given the exhorbitant fares Stagecoach were charging. Why do you think I use the train?

I bet the view of the Exe estuary was fanstastic on a clear day like today. Yes, the Devon & Cornwall Railcard really is good value. £10.00 per 12 months for the card and you get a third off rail fares (off peak only unfortunately) within Devon & Cornwall. The Day Rover Stagecoach bus £6.00 ticket can be good value if you use it a lot on that particular day that you are travelling. £4.60 something return fare Dawlish/Teignmouth is most definitely not good value. It is a rip off.
