I agree with the Head - a prom or similar when they leave Primary school is totally over the top as are having limos or similar turning up at the school.  One parent did that when my elder son left his Primary school and the other kids were far from impressed, they just thought it was showing off.  Having a prom at that age is just daft and is more suited to older children who are leaving ...

DT Garage on the industrial estate are very good and we've found them to be excellent value.

When will we ever get some joined up thinking from the people who control these things. I despair that they actually will go ahead and do this. It will be even more of a nightmare and a summer disaster for town businesses.

I see some spray painted letters and markings have appeared on the road by the bends - please please please tell me they wouldn't be stupid enough to start digging up that bit of road now, just when we might finally get the scaffolding cleared!

Differing experiences at Torbay - on the one hand they saved my Dad's life because one of the doctors recognised the slightly unusual thinig he had wrong with him and got treatment sorted so quickly that he was saved from brain damage and possible death, so obviously very grateful to them for that.  But then we had a time when my son got concussion and by the time they saw him in A&E he had waited ...

Excellent to see another local independent store opening, and something a bit different too.  Dawlish has some fantastic independent businesses.  Wish them every success.

that makes a nice change from usual then

It is absolutely disgusting how long this is taking and that they are being allowed to disrupt the traffic flow into Dawlish for this long.  Days seem to go by with no-one working there and we have had plenty of customers tell us that they have been put off visiting our business in Dawlish from Teignmouth because of all the road holdups so it is not helping the local economy one bit and yet there ...

Congratulations to Dawlish Community College for being named as winners of the best secondary school in the South West in the 2013 Pupil Premium Awards.
