Congratulations to Dawlish Community College for being named as winners of the best secondary school in the South West in the 2013 Pupil Premium Awards.

Many congrats to them.

I hear that a band/group from the Comm Coll have been given a 30 minute slot by Dawlish RBL at the start of their Party in the Park on Sunday.

They will be first on so make sure that you are there for 11am to cheer them on.

Well done to the RBL (Branch) for giving these youngsters a chance.

Its a shame that the principal is leaving and moving to a new College he certainly has turned D.C.C round.

i had hoped this wasn't true @leatash as my child is going to dcc in september.  gutted.

The senior management team are still in place and i understand one of them is taking over as principal i believe further improvements are on the books and i have every confidence that standards will be maintained if not improved.

AD leaving? Oh no!

But..........he has done 7 years there now. 

A big well done to the governors who appointed him. Let's hope they are similarly inspired when chosing his successor.

Oh AD you will be sooooooo missed.

From what i understand his successor has already been appointed.

Is it in the public domain yet who the new principal is? Has it gone out in a college newsletter or anything similar? 

I would imagine it will be made public as the term finishes.
