Well it made me laugh out loud too so why doesn't everybody enjoy the chuckle together and call a brief truce.

I don't think Tuck's Plot is a good place for a play park, it's boxed in by busy roads, but I also don't see why the Lawn should host it.    Far from Dawlish 'crying out' for one, there's already one by the hospital, no more than four minutes away, plus a new one by Newlands.     Walk a bit further, it's good exercise.

That's very funny MV.  But obviously only to those that understand it.  Although funny is the wrong word because it's true.

I'm not sure what the purpose of those barriers are and they couldnt have been any uglier. They clearly don't deter cyclists,  but they have succeeded in making it impossible for my family to wheel our dinghy and kayaks along to Boat Cove.  So instead we now launch them in Teignmouth.  Then afterwards we eat at the Ship Inn instead of the Marine Tavern.    More money spent in Teignmouth, less ...

Dawlish has plenty to be proud of but there's plenty of room for improvement too.  It's fair to say that the cafes are usually closed by 4 and the only places on the Strand open in the evening will be Jack Sprats and the Co-op.   It's not a great vibe for a seaside town.  Last year I remember someone posting about their frustration when not even the chip ships stayed open for the music festival. ...
