@user4549 At no time did the Carnival tell us that, the first we heard of this was days after the decision had been made.  Sue Purser was at our meeting and I asked her "Will this cause you any problems?" I've checked with Emma Kay, and all the events are going to be on the Lawn and centred around the Bandstand.  The Red Rock team will be there to organise fun activities for the younger people

H The money raised towards the replacement Bandstand is still in the Town Council bank account and is earmarked to help Teignbridge pay for future improvements to Brook and Lawn.  News awaited from Teignbridge about exactly what they plan to do.  Hopefully news later this year about the Brook, Teignbridge have officers working on this.

It's the first I've heard about it and I'd want to know exactly what is being applied for before I express an opinion

Glad you had such a great time Mr Furness Dawlish is always a great place to visit (and for us lucky few, to live) even when it is miserably cold I gather that Taylors was closed due to new owners beginning to re-fit, so there will be another new eaterie to enjoy on your next visit Go easy on the salads now .........

Welcome!  Hope you have a really restful Easter break.  Willo's cafe is perhaps new since your last visit, and is great for a coffee and bacon sarnie after a bracing sea walk.  Also there are really nice meals to be had at Jack Sprat's on the Strand.  Doug and Sue are new too, and give a warm welcome in the Strand Cafe.  Plus you should find some old favourites too.  Have a great holiday!
