Shaldon is very expensive; and in shadow a lot of the time because it's on the north side of a hill.  Bishop is a decent option but public transport isn't great (no railway station). Teignmouth has, as others have said, a better shopping centre; but most of the housing is on very steep hills around the town. There is a lot to be said for living in Dawlish IMO.

Gone, I was told yesterday.

is there anything to stop these houses being bought-to-let ? (asking out of sheer ignorance).  if not then, @FredBassett , you may be disappointed in the newcomers

Bit early in the year for this to kick off, isn't it ? ... usually the "cull them" rubbish in here (and in the press) starts in early July when they are "ferociously" and "aggressively" defending their newly flown babies ... When did they used to be culled, leatash ?

Or the bus stop, and that hasn't gone yet.  Has it ... ??

Just as well Strand Hill is open again.

Sounds, at first glance, to be the 'least worst' of the options they were considering.

A little bird told me the garage will be closing soon.  Any truth in that ?
