I find it incredibly frustrating that small groups of people that supposedly represent us, the residents of Dawlish, are making decisions about the future of our town without full consultation or even fully informing us. But one of the things that wind me up no end is that repeatedly the same people with their own views are constantly on these 'steering groups', I'm not confident that they ...

In what way Rainbow1?

But that was the Lib Dems leaflet printed locally. What's the point in voting Lib Dem when at the very most there would be one of them, the same with the Greens. I haven't heard a good word about the way the Voices for Dawlish have behaved since taking office (as a group, not individuals I must point out) so why add to their number? I didn't vote for the Labour government in 1997 or the ...

Surely someone who's running a million pound business wouldn't have time to spend on a inconsequential little forum like this? (no offence Webmaster but it's not exactly competition for Facebook!!) Isn't it only those like me here - out of work/retired/sick/bored/lonely/friendless/obsessives (delete as appropriate) ??? For doughnuts - Wee Shoppe Bakery, just fabulous every time. For cheap but delicious carrot cake and a cuppa - Willos in Piermont Place. For lovely paninis - No 1 cafe. I also keep an eye on the local produce sold by Chrissie ...

Lynne, the link lists the member organisations of the steering group but do you know of any of the names of the representatives of those groups?

Well, so tomorrow's the election. Who's going to vote then? Don't think I can be bothered this time - looking at the options and reading the leaflets it seems to be the same old same old. Greens banging on about saving the planet, Lib Dems going on about stuff that's already been done, Consevatives that can't be bothered and the Voices for Dawlish that seem no different to anyone else from what I ...

Sat in on a Town Council meeting the other evening. The meeting itself was quite dull - the discussions after weren't.... Two of the Lib Dem TDC candidates made statements that made me want to weep. Cllr Protheroe- 'Well I thought that was illegal at the time' then back tracking to 'No, I suspected it' Cllr Collins - 'I admit I didn't read the documents' What was the issue? - the transferring ...
