If I was them I would close up right NOW, sell the land and leave Dawlish without fuel as Sainsburys will be selling it.

Thank you. I remember now the greengrocer that was opposite the fish shop in Queen Street. In fact as you may know veg in supermarkets can be expensive, it is where they make money because people just through in the trolly. I was in Asda week ago and got one jacket potato, on the receipt it said 39p lol . 26p in Stokes.

Don't they just word things to suit themselves. Politics! The actual words are 'Dawlish has already lost two locally owned greengrocers fairly recemtly along with a butcher and a fishmonger due to unfair supermarket 'competition'. I am unable to make sense of that, where were they then?

As I arrived at the Manor 'Friends of the earth' person handed out a leaftet against a supermarket. It mentions that a butchers shop and Veg shop have closed recently .. who were they then? Had to laugh.. at the bottom of this page an advert today for 'Tesco' every little helps!

Beem to the Mamor .. it all looks ok to me, mamy miserable faces, so I assume those that went dont want Sainsburys. I realise Sandy Lane residents dont want a supermarket there coz its on their doorstep but it would be nearer town.

Yes it is typical, but typical Dawlish .. had it been about the Sandy Lane site there would have been riots! I will go see tomorrow, glad for the reminder.
