Thank you DM. As I am down the Strand every morning before 6am I see the state it is from day/night before rubbish everywhere. Talking to other shopkeepers they also acknowldge the problems, if your shop frontage doesnt stop at the pavement you are responsible to clean that yourself the street cleaners will not do it !!!!!! so they can blow it everywhere with their machines, people stand outside ...

Take a walk around the town centre and see how many TDC bins you can see. We could do with at least 4 more down the Strand preferably metal with a cigarette butt bin on top like in Exeter. Private wheelie bins get used between emptying and being brought in , visitors to the area do not know our recycling rules!!! We pay enough in Council Tax without offering our bins free of charge. it would not be traffic free, the logistics dictate that, the lawn is a pedestrant area if you want to walk traffic free , as many people have done for years. what about making Brunswick traffic free !!!!
