Never been against a replacement bandstand or a stage like structure, don't belong to any mob or entrenched against any change - just dont agree with diminishing public open spaces, for whatever reasons. Not sure I like your style JC - where is the love? END
Pehaps I dont have a back yard and that is why I value public open spaces. Is that such a bad ethos?
The application is withdrawn but the cultural pavilion is now permitted development. Many posts believe that the people of Dawlish have some sort of say in proposed developments by way of a two-way consultation. If this is the case then what is SUSTRANS up to? Have they consulted with Devon County Council yet, Teignbridge? Dawlish Town Council? Where is the visitor centre/cycle hub going ...
The bandstand structure yes, but not the arena.
I like the design of the Glasgow Band stand. It would be well suited. I wonder if the present Mayor would be prepared to sign his name to the latest comment signed by all the previous Mayors. Reading between the lines of several posts in this and other discussions I am also wondering ....... exactly what is Sustrans up to and who with?

Thank you to Mr Clayson for your post it was very informative. So, the large central space and the character of the area locally known as the 'Lawn' falls foul to half baked ideas of regeneration. Heaven help our open spaces!
