I use the cycle path most days and I have almost ridden into cars that are parked on the cycle lane, as you just don't expect them to be there. Very selfish to park on cycle lanes and pavements. Any vehicle parked on them should be towed.

Yep totally agree, Dawlish is an amazing place to live.
the price of water does vary a lot @wriggler but i am not sure you have your prices correct. 34p is very cheap for diesel. Typical fuel stations prices are more like (per 500ml): Coke - £1.20 Water - £1.00 Diesel - 71p Milk - 50p
Anyone can collect and sell rain water if they want. Water companies charge you for supplying water treated with chlorine and for handling sewage. In fact everyone should just stop paying for it as they cannot even cut you off. It should be supplied by the government as part of their job of providing the infrastructure for society.
