Well i have been driving for over 50 years and never had a parking ticket a speeding fine or never stopped for any motoring offence and the point about the cost per mile of running a car is the what it costs to keep that car on the road each year and whatever you may think it cost you dosh to get the four items unless you walked.
I have just recieved from Sainsbury's this morning vouchers to save £12 on a £60 pound shop and vouchers to save 12p 0n a litre of fuel when spending £60 now i get these every month and always use the money of a shop ones but rarely use the fuel coupons as they tend to coincide with each other shame really.
I have friends who go to Teighnmouth to get fuel as they save 1 or 2 pence a litre and they dont see it costs them more to get it than they save, "hows that they say" well a tank only hold a max 60 litres saving 60p or a max of £1.20 but first you wont get 60 litres the tanks never that empty and its 10 miles there and back so it costs that in fuel to get it. They are AA and RAC figures not mine folk dont realise what it costs to run a car fuel.vel,insurance,servicing,tyres,depreciation,mot etc etc and it can rise to 68p per mile depending on the car but hey it's your choice so if the AA,RAC are correct it cost you £9.00 to save £4.00. Well i have calculated that it's not worth shopping around i will explain. I only shop at Sainsburys once a week in necter points i get on average £143.00 per year that is made up of food shops vouchers and online surveys. Now if i go to Newton Abbot Asda,Tesco it's 9.6 miles it costs 45p per mile to run a average car so a round trip £9.00 thats £468 per year so add that to my necter points and ...
