Unless America can be 100% sure that their missile defence system can take down all incoming missiles at a safe distance, they have no option other to attack North Korea now.
@Paul - i'm sure the trumpet has chap's within his intelligence service's who could have kimmy taken out with a natural ailment, like a heart attack or aneurysm. there is no need for missiles to be exchanged just erase the issue at source by natural causes.
If trumpet does lauch an assault on N korea you have the chance that Russia and China may decide to get involved and we don't want that, do we?
The problem is more complex than that Paul. The facts North Korea do not have the cabability to nuke mainland US they have as yet not mastered the problem of rockets burning up on re entry and destroying themselves.
I'm not sure The US should wait until North Korea is fully capable of hitting the US mainland before they take action.
Need to consult with the Russians and Chinese as they are neighbours about using conventional weapons to bomb military bases and wherever the idiot Kim is.

Are you mad, do you seriously want a nuclear war A US president who communicates via twitter. He is just as dangerous as Kim Yong. We need the voice of reason ie Angela Merkel to intervene before we are all blown to pieces.

The US should bomb (USING CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS) all military sites to destroy whatever capability they currently have and hopefully kill Kim with a strike on some 'palace'.
If we leave it, then we WILL have a nuclear war. We will be in serious trouble if they are given the time to develop intercontinental nuclear missiles. The North Koreans have promised to strike the mainland United States.
We do not need miserable Merkel, time for talking is over, we MUST act now.

Iat's a good job we didn't stop talking in Northern Ireland, or else we would still have bombing and mayhem. If it's possible talks should always be tried first.
