Honestly I would give Dawlish a miss. In the 15 years I have been here it has just been a steady decline downwards. Exeter is the closest place for decent shopping and jobs and there is next to nothing for kids to do around the town. I would suggest a better move would be to the outskirts of Newton Abott or better still Exeter. Public transport is really bad and the only way to get around is by ...

It would be better if they actually enforced the PSPO's they currently have, before they expand them. The Dawlish PSPO is a joke. There is blatent abuse off  the PSPO and very rarely does anything get enforced.

If it were poundland it would be better than another charity shop or betting shop, wouldn't it?

It's an entirely different attitude, by those in charge, when you have worked most of your life and then end up going into signon for a few weeks. I know I have been on the receiving end of the job centre staff's third degree attitude on several occassions each time I have been made redundant. If only they had this attitude towards those that have been on large benefits for decades and even ...

If you are unemployed drawing benefit and fit to work there shouldn't be a choice. I was talking to a 20 year old yesterday and asked what she was doing her answer "nothing i cant find a job with decent money and i am not working for min wage". My question is how do they get away with being out of work for 3 years, is it the system that allows it or are there expectations to high.

Does anyone know who is taking over the shop? There is work being carried out, is it still rumoured to be Poundland?

But they won't do these jobs, the same reason why farms need EU migrants because they will work hard for minimum wage.

There never has been anything for teenagers to do and if there is something it costs too much. Teenagers hang around, its what they do, I did. If they are causing problems then that is a different issue but if they are just sitting around, chatting and laughing what is the problem? Most parents are happy their kids are in their rooms playing on games as they know where there are then.
