As the goverment have now cleared the way for the construction of Hincley C power station, could someone justify why EDF energy a French owned company are being allowed to construct and operate the site. Do British companies not have the skills and technical knowledge to build and operate this plant. Unless the site and the power it generates is 100% British owned and under national control ...

There seems to be a simple answer to most of the issues raised on this thread it may or may not solve the problems but it will certainly instigate some changes at least. VOTE -  UKIP or BNP and see what happens

With a bit of luck the contracts to build the new nuclear deterent will be placed only with British companies, and will provide plenty of skilled engineering jobs with real wages. This in turn should reduce at least one sector of the unemployed benifit claimers.
