I don't see anything wrong with trying to economise. National debt: £1.19 trillion. Budget deficit: £118.8 bn. year to April 2013. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22999023
@Brazilnut , you posted a link but didn't type anything. So I assume you think that £26k is too much.
Yep the benefit cap should be much lower than £26K, more like £6K.
@Brazilnut , I see. Actually you've always been a great admirer of the new Strand, lol.
Evenings and early mornings are when people are generally less aware due to tiredness. I can't see any reason to drive down The Strand at 30mph. Reducing the speed limit will create a safer environment for all.
Well most people are pedestrians and drivers. Driving fast in town centres is dangerous and selfish. What's wrong with driving a bit slower in busy areas of the town?
@Brazilnut , I totally agree with you on the staff at Rock & Sole. In my review of rock and sole I purposely didn't mention the staff attitude as it was awful, I was on the verge of walking out. However the food was very good. Rock & Sole staff, usually when a customer enters a shop it would be better to say something rather than just turn away and ignore the customer. If you're busy just say ...
Perhaps that is the case during the day. However it certainly is not at other times, in the evening and particularly early morning people drive much too fast. So make it law that you have to drive slower at all times of the day.
Dawlish town centre needs lower speed limits. Too many vehicles are using the town as a drag strip. Ideally the whole town centre should have a speed limit of 20mph and The Strand 10mph.
Just found this short film - http://vimeo.com/69325515 which is mostly filmed in Plymouth. If you own a video camera why not make a film based in or about Dawlish.
