@Brian Devon "In August a lot of Vehicles have been on the Lawn" That may be so but not all of them weigh 20+ tonnes and park up for a couple of weeks.
Does she drive a car I wonder?
Still not any comments (apart from Paul's) on the carnival itself .
A report for Chip ahoy. Chips were not very good, soft and not a nice golden brown but a dirty white colour. Fish batter was like soggy cardboard and fish was dry. Very disappointed indeed.
Very interesting and good luck to them. One question though. How can you get in touch with them if you don't have a fakebook account?
@ FB We moan because we have seen better, before it became the Farley/Rowland ego trip. There used to be something going on on the lawn non stop. The westcountry TV bus used to be on the lawn, where you could meet some of the presenters. The Marines used to come and demonstrate unarmed combat, plus many other events that are far too many to mention. Yes Fred, go back a few years ...
At least the weather will be clearing up later for the Grand Procession. John Nash Drive will be 2 abreast with floats from visiting royalty and pubs and clubs from miles around. The biggest and best procession beckons.
@roberta
Although I am against this backdoor (or backgarden) community tax increase, and some of you are talking about alternative companies to collect garden waste, I think that you will find it hard to get it cheaper than the £1:35 per fortnight (£1:16 if on benefits) that TDC are charging.
Looking at the schedule, a whole week of non stop fun for all ages.
