In case anyone else hears rumours of the service around town (Sainsburys to Coronation Avenue & John Nash Drive) being axed.
This is the reply I've received from Devon County
Beacon have surrendered the contract, to take effect after operation on Saturday 2nd May. A competititve tender has been issued for a replacement, the results of which will be known in a week or so.
I hope this reassures, pending confirmation of the outcome.

Principal Transport Co-ordinating Officer"
I have asked for the Town Council to be kept informed, and will post any update when received.
If it doesn't continue there will be many an elderly person in Dawlish who will desperately miss it as quite a few in that age group use it. They may have had cars in the past, or never at all, but they certainly don't own one now. I know because they are my neighbours. Without this bus service how will they (and others who live elsewhere on the bus route) get in and out of the town, to/from the doctors etc?
