@Lynne . the paper got the name wrong. three of us have now confirmed the story - me, don pearson & elvis presley - and we surely all have enough nous not to be taken in by government cover-ups. how many people does it take to confirm something as true? answers please in under 500 words. the truth is out there. you must just believe.
I prefer the conspiracy theory story which explains the April Fool cover-up. Also the idea of the April Fool being reversed at midday is just a relatively modern invention - probably just an April Fool trick itself originally.
I was there. It's real but is nothing to do with Dawlish TV reception so nothing to worry about there. What is worrying though is why the satellite has crashed - there have been similar reports in India, Mexico, Australia and South Africa. Something is taking out our communications systems perhaps but the government is not making a statement that makes any sense - are they covering something ...
Should be ok. This wasn't the satellite for Dawlish TV transmission
Spotted the army going down there yesterday. Controlled explosion next perhaps?
Just received our survey - definitely propaganda. @Lynne - good question. who has paid for this. it gives the impression that it's an "official" survey from our mp so have we, the taxpayers, paid for it? hopefully not.
Not sure because no-one's allowed onto the sea-wall but I think the work is at the site of the landslip 15 months ago - maybe they think the cliff is still not stable even with the steel rods which have been inserted, or maybe it's adjacent to the area they've netted
Coming back to the original post, did Dawlish actually make any bid for funding in the same way other SW towns have done?
Same here. You might call it groyne strain.
