TDC, it's their car park which just happens to have a surgery built in it
Orla, go for it, move here. Dawlish is a great place to live, sure it has the same issues that any town has but there is loads to do. Plenty of clubs, lots of things to volunteer your time to - museum, carnival, folk festival, friends of the hospital etc etc You won't regret moving here (you'll feel at home anyway - lots of other midlanders already here )
I've struggled to see my GP in the past. The new(ish) system means that if you phone on the day for an urgent appointment you get the duty doc, if you phone wanting an appointment with your GP in a week you have to also phone at 8.30 - which I think is bloody stupid, everyone phoning at the same time! Regarding Deedoodle saying that there's only one doc with time for you, some of the new ...
Out of 300 million people the best they can come up with is those two. Probably time for a meteor to hit, wipe us all out and start again......
The Town Council are organising it this year, the first weekend of December.
On Monday 27th (tomorrow) at 7pm there is a meeting for volunteers to attend at the Royal British Legion Club. A chance to support the week of events even if just for a few hours. If you can get to the meeting brilliant, if not and you still want to help then email dawlishcelebratescarnival@outlook.com

There are now a couple of houses that are rented out, there are younger families moving in so there are now quite a few cars about. If you're looking at buying then make sure the roff is checked properly - they're flat ...
Dawlish is lovely, very family friendly, lots to do. Good transport links, shopping for food is ok, shopping for other stuff is improving. Schools - Gatehouse has gone downhill over the recent years but steps are underway to sort this out, but I'd go for Westcliff - they are great there now. Community College is good - my youngest did well there. If you look at the Kinngsdown Crescent area ...
How is there going to be new management? They run as a business with directors? They can't be sacked, the only way to replace them is if they resign. Now if they do that then fantastic but until then they have the right to carry on with using the name of Dawlish Carnival and nothing changes. BTW haven't read the gazette this week yet
Shall be shopping for groceries online and baking my own bread!! There's no chance of nipping to Sainsburys now, each trip takes half an hour just to get there and back, another example of the fine joined-up-thinking of our local authorities etc. Muppets
